Xevi Vilaró is a hyper realistic painter from LA CALLERA a small village of Girone located in Spain. Due to certain coincidence of life he paints. His mother brought him his first canvas and first paintbrush, when he was fifteen. It must be six years now, since he stopped working at the factory, sewing trousers. He learns to paint by himself.
He hasn’t really had teachers. In the working of the idea that he have, he look for the background and landscape and go about composing what he is going to put there to find the final result.
In his painting SECENES ARE A LITTLE MYSTICAL, UNREAL, FANTASTIC issue.
Many of his works represent very abnormal things, a fish flying over the Avenue La
Castellana de Madrid with a guy sitting down (…)
Xevi Vilaro have a very simple work statement “The brain is like a muscle; the more it is cultivated the more solid and strong it becomes. The whole idea and the artistic sensibility is all forged by you yourself”
